You Know You're Maturity Level 1 When...

1. Your formal decision making process typically involves a chimpanzee, a dartboard, and a six-pack of beer. [DAR]
   
   
2. Your risk management strategy was developed one summer by a group of interns from “the Delta House.” [RSKM]
   
   
3. Your software integration procedures use the phrase “duct tape” three or more times. [PI]
   
   
4. Your most commonly used causal analysis tool is the one known as a Blame Allocation Matrix. [CAR]
   
   
5. The last time your team created a formal baseline was when you marked up the company softball field at the start of the season. [CM]
   
   
6. Your requirements elicitation techniques have been shown to violate the Geneva Convention. [RD]
   
   
7. Your organization performs validation only if you’ve parked your vehicle in the appropriately designated garage. [VAL]
   
   
8. The way you ensure objectivity in your work product reviews is to make sure that the reviewer is not a blood relative of the author. [PPQA]
   
   
9. The money your management shelled out for predictive modeling tools has been used to purchase a ouija board for every project. [OPP]
   
   
10. Improvement proposals are systematically considered by senior management during every month whose name contains the letter “K.” [OID]
