Course Summary

This one-day course provides an overview of the newly released SEI CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC, v1.2) by building upon the student's existing knowledge of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration).

The three-day SEI Introduction to CMMI introduces fundamental CMMI concepts not covered in this Services Supplement, and is a strict pre-requisite for this class.

The Services Supplement is delivered only by authorized instructors affiliated with the the SEI (Software Engineering Institute) or an SEI Partner organization.

Class Materials

  • Addison-Wesley hardcover CMMI for Services: Guidelines for Superior Service.
  • Student notebook of SEI CMMI training slides and exercises
  • Upon successful completion, an official SEI certificate (needed to serve on most CMMI-SVC appraisal teams)
  • Only when we teach it: Our proprietary bonus slides, optional lunchtime jam session, CMMI-SVC wall chart, CMMI-SVC reference card
