Why Take This Course

This one-day class builds upon your existing knowledge of the CMMI® for Development (CMMI-DEV) V1.3, to provide you with a basic understanding of the CMMI® for Services (CMMI-SVC) v1.3 -- a framework used worldwide for the establishment and management of services. The focus is on what's unique to the CMMI for Services.


The Introduction to CMMI-DEV V1.3 class is a strict pre-requisite.


This class is only available through in-person, instructor-led training by a CMMI Institute Partner organization.

Please realize that CMMI V1.3 is being phased out. (Its replacement, CMMI V2.0, has been available since March 2018.) Official CMMI V1.3 appraisals and training will no longer be available after September 2020.

Who Should Attend

If your organization is not already involved in a CMMI V1.3-based improvement initiative, we strongly recommend you take CMMI V2.0 classes rather than V1.3.

This class should be attended by anyone who has had Intro to CMMI-DEV V1.3 and may be:

  • Heavily involved in CMMI-SVC V1.3-based improvement

  • A candidate CMMI-SVC V1.3 appraisal team member
